1. Introduction and Scope
This Returns & Refunds Policy (the “Policy”) applies to physical merchandise purchased directly from Trading Card Cache LLC, doing business as TC Cache (“TC Cache,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through tccache.com. It should be read together with the TC Cache Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and any product-specific Final Sale or return notice shown before purchase.
Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the TC Cache Terms and Conditions.
Because TC Cache sells trading cards, sealed trading-card products, collectibles, toys, and customer-directed Build Program products, return eligibility may vary by product type. Nothing in this Policy limits a remedy that applicable law makes non-waivable.
2. General Return Window
Unless merchandise is identified as Final Sale or another product-specific rule applies, normally returnable merchandise may be requested for return within 14 calendar days after documented delivery.
To qualify for a voluntary return, the merchandise must generally:
- be the same item purchased from TC Cache;
- remain in materially the same condition in which it was delivered;
- not have been altered, substituted, used, opened where sealed condition matters, or materially damaged after delivery;
- include original packaging, accessories, inserts, or components where reasonably applicable; and
- otherwise satisfy this Policy.
The 14-day period does not shorten any longer non-waivable right provided by applicable law.
Back to top3. Final Sale Merchandise
TC Cache may designate certain merchandise as Final Sale where legally permitted. A Final Sale designation means the item is not eligible for a voluntary change-of-mind return.
Final Sale does not eliminate remedies for merchandise that is materially misrepresented, counterfeit, the wrong item, materially damaged in qualifying shipment circumstances, or otherwise subject to a non-waivable legal remedy.
Where Final Sale applies, TC Cache intends to make that restriction reasonably clear before purchase rather than relying only on this Policy.
Back to top4. Sealed Trading Card Products
Sealed TCG products containing unopened trading-card packs are Final Sale and non-returnable to the fullest extent permitted by law unless the applicable listing expressly states otherwise.
This may include booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, collection boxes, tins, blister products, bundles, packs, Build & Battle products, decks containing randomized sealed packs, and similar merchandise containing unopened trading-card packs.
This restriction exists because once sealed collectible merchandise has been opened or materially disturbed, TC Cache cannot reliably determine whether packs or products have been searched, weighed, mapped, opened, resealed, substituted, or otherwise altered.
Back to top5. Opened or Disturbed Sealed Products
Where return eligibility depends on sealed condition, the applicable eligibility generally ends once factory or TC Cache packaging has been opened, broken, removed, cut, torn, unsealed, or otherwise materially disturbed.
A customer should not open merchandise after discovering a visible issue that they intend to raise as a sealed-condition return claim unless opening is reasonably necessary to confirm the problem or TC Cache instructs otherwise.
Nothing in this section prevents a remedy required by law for counterfeit, unsafe, materially misrepresented, or otherwise legally nonconforming goods.
Back to top6. TC Cache Build Program Products
Products created through the TC Cache Build Program are assembled according to customer-directed selections and may become Final Sale once custom assembly begins.
Examples include Build a Booster, Build a Deck, Build a Set, Build a Box, Build a Bundle, or another future TC Cache Build product.
A Build product may still qualify for an appropriate remedy if TC Cache assembled something materially different from the customer's confirmed selections, supplied the wrong merchandise, materially misrepresented the product, the order suffered qualifying shipping damage, or applicable law requires another remedy.
Because Build products are customer-directed, a customer cancellation request made after assembly has begun may be declined even if the product has not yet shipped.
See the Build Program Terms & Product Disclosure for independent-assembly, packaging, and unopened-resale rules.
Back to top7. Single Trading Cards and Individual Collectibles
Normally returnable single cards and individual collectibles may be returned within the applicable return period only if they remain the same item and in materially the same condition in which they were delivered.
A customer may not return:
- a different copy of the same card;
- a lower-condition substitute;
- an altered, cleaned, trimmed, recolored, pressed, or otherwise modified item;
- a card or collectible materially damaged after delivery;
- a substituted item removed from an encapsulated or serialized holder;
- a counterfeit replacement; or
- any item not originally supplied by TC Cache.
TC Cache may compare actual-item photographs, identifying characteristics, serial or certification numbers, condition notes, packaging, fulfillment records, and other reasonable evidence when reviewing a return.
Back to top8. Condition Disagreements
TC Cache makes reasonable efforts to describe collectible condition accurately, but condition assessment can involve reasonable subjective judgment.
A minor difference of opinion regarding centering, print quality, light edge wear, surface appearance, corners, packaging wear, or another subjective collectible characteristic does not automatically establish material misrepresentation.
TC Cache will nevertheless review credible claims that an item was materially different from the listing or actual-item photographs.
Back to top9. Market Value Changes Are Not a Return Reason
Collectible values can change quickly. A decrease in market price, resale value, recent comparable sales, card-game demand, player popularity, grading expectations, or general collectible demand after purchase does not by itself make merchandise defective or returnable.
Likewise, TC Cache does not retroactively charge a customer because merchandise increases in value after a valid accepted sale.
The transaction price remains the agreed transaction price, subject to ordinary return rights and legally required remedies.
Back to top10. Manufacturer and Factory Variation
Factory-originated characteristics may include print lines, off-centering, minor factory scratches, crimping, wrapping variation, seal placement, packaging differences, ink variation, factory dents, molding variation, paint variation, or other manufacturing characteristics.
The existence of a manufacturer-originated characteristic does not automatically mean TC Cache materially misrepresented the product. Significant known damage or variation should still be disclosed where reasonably appropriate.
Nothing here eliminates an applicable manufacturer warranty or consumer remedy required by law.
Back to top11. Wrong Item or Material Listing Error
If TC Cache sends the wrong item or merchandise is materially inconsistent with the accepted listing, contact TC Cache promptly.
Depending on the circumstances and available inventory, TC Cache may provide a return authorization, replacement, exchange, agreed partial refund, full refund, or another appropriate remedy.
Where TC Cache requires return of merchandise because of TC Cache's fulfillment or listing error, TC Cache will generally provide or reimburse reasonable return-shipping costs.
Back to top12. Authenticity Concerns
TC Cache does not knowingly sell counterfeit merchandise. If you reasonably believe merchandise supplied by TC Cache is counterfeit or materially inauthentic, contact us promptly and do not intentionally alter or destroy the item or relevant packaging while the matter is being investigated.
TC Cache may review photographs, provenance or acquisition records, identifying characteristics, third-party authentication information, and other reasonable evidence.
If merchandise is determined to be counterfeit or materially misrepresented as authentic, TC Cache will provide the remedy required by applicable law and may provide additional appropriate relief depending on the circumstances.
Back to top13. Damage in Transit
If merchandise arrives materially damaged because of shipping, contact TC Cache promptly and retain the merchandise, shipping container, product packaging, labels, cushioning materials, and photographs where reasonably possible.
These materials may be needed for carrier, postage-provider, or insurance claims.
Do not intentionally discard material evidence before TC Cache has had a reasonable opportunity to review the claim unless disposal is reasonably necessary for health or safety.
Back to top14. Reporting Problems Promptly
Customers are encouraged to report wrong items, visible shipment damage, missing contents, suspected counterfeit merchandise, or material listing discrepancies as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
For easier investigation, TC Cache recommends contacting us within 48 hours for obvious fulfillment errors or visible shipment damage.
15. Return Authorization and Instructions
Customers should contact TC Cache before mailing a return. TC Cache may provide return instructions, identifying information, a return authorization, shipping instructions, or a prepaid return label where appropriate.
Sending merchandise without enough information to identify the transaction, to an unrelated address, or contrary to provided instructions may delay processing.
Obtaining a return authorization does not guarantee a refund before the returned merchandise is received and inspected where inspection is reasonably necessary.
Back to top16. Return Shipping Costs
Where a return is accepted because of wrong merchandise, a material TC Cache listing error, qualifying damage, authentication failure, or another error attributable to TC Cache, TC Cache will generally pay reasonable return-shipping costs when return is required.
For an otherwise eligible voluntary return that is not caused by a TC Cache error, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping unless TC Cache states otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.
Customers should use reasonable packaging and, for higher-value merchandise, an appropriate trackable or insured method when instructed.
Back to top17. Packaging Returned Merchandise
Customers must package returns reasonably to prevent damage in transit.
If an item is materially damaged because the customer returned it with inadequate packaging, TC Cache may reduce or deny a discretionary refund to the extent permitted by law and supported by the circumstances.
Where TC Cache provides packaging instructions or a return label, customers should follow those instructions where reasonably practicable.
Back to top18. Inspection of Returns
TC Cache may inspect returned merchandise before approving a refund or exchange.
TC Cache may deny or adjust a voluntary return if reasonable evidence shows that merchandise:
- is not the original item;
- was opened contrary to an applicable sealed or Final Sale condition;
- was altered or materially damaged after delivery;
- is missing components;
- was substituted or resealed;
- contains materially different contents from what TC Cache supplied; or
- otherwise does not satisfy the applicable return requirements.
Nothing in this section authorizes TC Cache to deny a mandatory legal remedy.
Back to top19. Refund Method and Timing
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method.
TC Cache may use another lawful method if the original payment method cannot receive a refund, the payment processor requires another method, applicable law requires another method, or TC Cache and the customer expressly agree to another lawful method.
After TC Cache issues a refund, the time required for the funds to appear can depend on the payment provider, bank, or financial institution.
Back to top20. Refund Amounts, Shipping, Discounts, and Promotions
Refund amounts are based on the amount actually paid for the applicable merchandise after discounts, credits, promotions, and adjustments, not the item's current market value or a later listed price.
If a voluntary return occurs solely because the customer changed their mind, original outbound shipping charges are generally non-refundable to the extent permitted by law. If TC Cache caused a qualifying full-order return, applicable original shipping charges will be refunded as required or appropriate.
Cancelled, refunded, reversed, fraudulent, or charged-back transactions may have associated Collector points, promotional eligibility, free add-ons, discounts, or other transaction-dependent benefits reversed where permitted by the applicable rules and law.
Back to top21. Partial Refunds and Exchanges
TC Cache may offer a partial refund when the customer wishes to keep merchandise with a minor issue and both parties agree that a partial refund fairly resolves the matter.
A customer is not required to accept a voluntary partial refund in place of a remedy they are legally entitled to receive.
Exchanges depend on available inventory. Because many collectibles are one-of-one or low-quantity items, an identical replacement may not be available. Where an exchange cannot reasonably be supplied, TC Cache may provide another appropriate remedy.
Back to top22. Return Fraud and Abuse
Return fraud and abuse are prohibited. Examples include returning a different card, substituting a lower-condition copy, returning counterfeit merchandise, resealing opened merchandise, intentionally damaging merchandise, falsely claiming missing contents, manipulating certification identifiers, or submitting materially false evidence.
Where supported by reasonable evidence and applicable law, TC Cache may deny fraudulent returns, preserve relevant evidence, restrict or close accounts, respond to payment disputes, report suspected fraud where appropriate, and pursue lawful remedies.
This section does not restrict legitimate complaints, good-faith returns, honest condition disagreements, or valid payment disputes.
Back to top23. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers retain legitimate rights to dispute unauthorized or legally disputable transactions with their payment provider.
TC Cache encourages customers to contact us first where practical so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue, but contacting TC Cache first is not a waiver of any legally protected payment-dispute right or filing deadline.
TC Cache may provide order, payment, shipping, communication, acceptance, and return records to payment processors or financial institutions when responding to a dispute.
Back to top24. California and Other State Consumer Rights
TC Cache intends to make restrictive or Final Sale policies reasonably clear before purchase. For California customers, certain restrictive refund policies must be conspicuously displayed under California law, and failure to make required disclosures can create additional refund rights.
TC Cache will therefore use product-page, cart, checkout, or other reasonably conspicuous disclosures where a specific product is Final Sale rather than relying solely on this Policy.
Other states may provide different consumer, warranty, cancellation, defective-product, or refund rights. Nothing in this Policy waives a right that applicable law does not permit TC Cache to waive.
Back to top25. Changes to This Policy
TC Cache may update this Policy for future transactions as products, operations, laws, or return practices change.
Each published version will identify its Version, Effective Date, and Last Updated date. Historical versions should be retained so TC Cache can determine which Policy applied to a particular transaction.
The Policy applicable to a purchase will generally be the version presented or incorporated when the order was placed or accepted, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
